HELMUTH LAW—Litigation and Corporate Counsel
Her penchant for helping others with their cause started when she took up her Bachelor of Science Degree in Development Communication at the University of the Philippines (UP) from 2002 to 2006. While at the University, she served as a radio jock, member of the student council, sorority and the swim team. Her various local community immersions exposed her to real social issues which motivated her to enter the legal profession.
She obtained her Bachelor of Laws Degree from the Arellano Law School in 2011, where she became an active member and Prime Minister of the Arellano Law Forensic Guild – the school debate club. She was employed full time and had occupied supervisory positions in a real estate firm, NGO, and management consulting firm while in law school.
She was admitted to the Philippine Bar on February 2012 and dove head first into litigation with Reyes Esguerra Benitez Baluyut and Bongco Law Offices. She has since handled a plethora of cases in the areas of corporate law, civil law, criminal law, intellectual property law, labor law and customs law.
At present, she is a Partner at Rosal Bacalla Helmuth-Vega and Virtudazo Law Offices (previously Rosal Bacalla Fortuna Helmuth-Vega and Nacua Law Offices) as a litigation lawyer, with retained corporate clients in various industries.
Hazel is a fan of Neil Gaiman’s graphic novels, theater, travel, swimming and outdoor sports.
